The Queen's Astrology
Tonight's program takes a close look at the Queen's natal chart, and also unravels the mysteries of the forthcoming Mercury retrograde and the Pisces Full Moon.
Dear Friend and Listener:
Tonight’s edition of Planet Waves FM focuses on the astrology of Queen Elizabeth II, and the history of her seemingly unlikely ascent to the throne.
The program is ready and posted to this page. I begin with a discussion of Mercury retrograde, which begins a bit before midnight Eastern Time; and the Pisces Full Moon, which happens at Saturday 5:59 pm EDT.
The Tradition of Reading Royal Astrology
As the rare American astrologer who has had the privilege of writing horoscopes in the British tabloids, I took every opportunity I could to be part of the tradition of studying the astrology of the royal family. This is a special field of specialized astrology to which people devote thier lives; I am but an egg.
However, I have a touch of experience, and I’ll do my best to set Elizabeth II into historical context, through her natal chart and progressions. Mostly I see her as a human being in a very difficult position that until age 10 she never expected to be in. Love her or otherwisse, we may all agree that she rose to the occasion with a profound sense of duty.
The surprise stand-out chart turned out to be the death of her father, George VI, which is also her ascendancy to the throne. Several charts are included on the program’s page.
Elizabeth’s Canine Friends
There is one point I do not make on the program, but wish to make here. Elizabeth’s chart is emotinoally fraught; there is no sign of warmth or of creature comfort. My take is that she found love in the emotional and physical realm with her canine friends, most of whom were Corgis — a delightfully affectionate breed of critter.
I am happy she had that much, at least. They made this life bearable for her.
This will be the rare Planet Waves FM when you find out if I really am an astrologer.
