Excellent point about the Eno/Barat discussion's failure to bring up the context of digital society and its general disembodiment of human beings. These disembodied beings are seeing what's going on in Gaza and are incapable of grasping this because they are disconnected from reality.

Point of information. The US has never been dependent upon "Middle East" oil for the American nation state's own supplies. Even when the US imported a huge percentage of the oil used, the big 3 suppliers were Canada, Mexico and Venezuela. But the nations of Europe and Asia are dependent upon these supplies. And this has been a big reason for US global domination since WWII, as its domination of oil producers in the "Middle East" and the general use of the dollar as the basic trading currency for oil has meant the control of supplies to rival industrial powers, imagined and real.

Good point about Assange's confession being coerced.

There is one positive thing to the Biden-Trump fiasco last night. The utterly demented state of the political system as a whole, a system which has made one of these two the likely winner of the next presidential race, is out there to see. The system from the very beginning in the 18th CEntury has served to mask the actual nature of power, hiding the absolute rule by the ruling rich elite behind the curtain of elections which provide the illusion that the people select the decision makers who govern them, rather than merely choosing between people competing to be flunkies for these elites, auditioning for the role of enforcers of the ruling order.

And glad to see you finally did get around to play the Gang of Four, which you have talked about doing for a while. "Return the Gift" was one of my favorite tracks on their first album, Entertainment. Damn, it's been over 44 years since first hearing it, which i did under.... special conditions.

Just to focus on the 18thC birth of the system statement:

18thC was definitely a big turning point in how the system functioned - coinciding with the Eris Pluto conjunction we are currently experiencing the final square of - but I'd put the beginning of the system back to birth of civilization. It's been built on blo

od and debt since the very first city.

Another interesting start - or better "great reset" - point astrologically would be the previous closing Eris - Pluto square. Birth of pre-industrial capitalism, forcefully removing the peasantry from the land, early reconfiguration of the perception of the human body, etc.

Are you sure Assange is free? What do you really know about what has been done to him and will continue to be done to him? I believe he will continue to be tortured, but in ways that are invisible to the world at large.

Please investigate this website: TargetedJustice.com/

I have been a Targeted Individual for thirty-four years, which is half my entire life. I believe that Julian Assange is yet another Targeted Individual, though he has a bigger profile on the world stage than millions of others who are similarly targeted.

Listened to the Otavio Mendes segment. Lots of good stuff, and some stuff that's "questionable," to put it mildly.

Cannabis use in moderation does not have detrimental effects, period. Smoking is actually better than eating in the sense of one's ability to control the intake, unless this intake is very specifically measured. What is "moderate"? Studies in Jamaica and Costa Rica failed to find adverse effects even in heavy daily smokers. Smoking a fingernail's worth on a daily basis is simply not even on the register. Eating heavy doses daily has unknown consequences, not enough data, probably not a good idea. And just like everything, heavy use at a time of mass digital disembodiment is just another confounding factor, problematic.

The nutrition part had good parts. Seed oils are not pretty uniformly not good, neither are the shortenings like Crisco. Corn fructose syrup really bad. Aspertame pretty bad. I avoid caffeine and glutten. But the meat discussion totally left out the nature of meat produced by industrial farming, and this i felt was really unconscionable. He left out the land and water requirements for meat raising and production, focusing on BS like the global warming effects. I felt Otavio was a non-stop ad for meat consumption and non-stop detractor of vegetarian and vegan practices. Sorry, i know lots of people who can contradict much of what he said, and he is not a nutritionist. But interesting conversation.

A different perspective about meat,

Dr Daniel Roytas talks to a herbal therapist who in turns out specializes in the vagus nerve, a fascinating topic for me. He deals with the current fashion of blaming plant consumption for human ailments.

Episode 79: Emrys Goldsworthy - Ex-carnivores

There is a growing trend to blame the consumption of plant foods as the cause of disease. It is said that naturally occurring plant compounds cause disease in healthy people. Ex-carnivores Daniel and Emrys take a deep dive into this topic. Do the consumption of edible plants really cause disease, or are there other factors at play? Are plants being used as scapegoats to cover up for the harmful effects of far more insidious causes?

Did you watch RFK Jr's "The Real Debate"? If not, why not?

RFK Jr is NOT an "alternative." His VP pick Nicole Shanahan recently made plain what the two of them seek.

See Alison McDowell’s latest blog entry, 6/22/24.

https://wrenchinthegears.com/2024/06/22/steam-punk-squirrel-steganography-information-theory-art-and-discovery-on-a-walk-in-the-woods/

I watched the first and main embedded video there. Gets into Woo Woo land quite often,, she seems determined to pack as many words into each minute as possible.:-) But in one good segment, she discusses this video below she has made out of segments from an interview with Shanahan. Basically, what McDowell says is that the RFK Jr/Shanahan government reform plan which Shanahan pushes is about turning government into a Blockchain platform, run by AI, using Bitcoin as its financial blood and using public health as a key legitimation tool.. This is a 10 minutes segment starting around 50:00 more or less.

The video she has made of the playlist of select clips from Ian Carroll’s interview with RFK Jr.’s vice presidential running mate and AI legal technologist Nicole Shanahan is here.

They are allinthe blockchain game of digital slavery. Many of "them" do not have a clue either. I have been folloeing Allison McDowell for years. Took me a while to get the hang of her deluvery style. She uses words that are not even in a dictionary. However, once i understood the plan....I stopped watching all other videos of bullcrap controlled opposition.

Alluson literally layout the future plans just as these assholes are saying they will go.

Expand full comment

Problem is, Alison takes these plans as fait accompli, as if they are not only realizable but already being implemented. In fact, the growing shortages of energy and raw materials make these plans laughable. In the near future, AI is set to require 25% of the electricity supply, the Cloud another 10%, EVs 4%, at a time when the grid is starting to fall apart. Just because ideas are put forth in cheese and brie symposiums doesn't mean they are remotely practical. She asked me to evaluate a far-fetched notion re energy supply. And when i pointed out the severe shortcomings in the concept, she got nasty, didn't wanna hear. She has NOT done that part of the invesitgative work.

Utter rubbish. The research of official-line-toeing Israel academics is presented here as objective data. The purpose of this video is to use reflex reactions against the "Woke" and "Islamists" to justify genocide and 100 years of ethnic cleansing in the land called Palestine. This cleansing is being carried out in the West Bank as well, an area NOT controlled by Hamas, with the two most extreme proponents of ethnic cleansing in the Israeli cabinet (an extremist entity in its own right)Finance Minister Smotrich and Interior Minister Ben-Gvir now granted control over West Bank governing.

Dude, don't even try this shit with me. I was born in the British Mandate, less than a year before it became Israel, lived there till late 1958. Almost all my relatives still live there. My father's parents were among the first 1000 inhabitants of Petakh Tikva, where he was born in the eartly 1910s, when it was still part of the Turkish Ottoman Empire. The European Jews who founded the Zionist organization are not even descended from the region, let alone have any rights to the land of the indigenous inhabitants. who do descend from the inhabitants of the region of Old Testament Times. See my interview with Eric, 10/20/23, a page full of references. Best work showing the colonization has been done by .... Israeli academics such as Ilan Pappe. Stalin? I'm a libertarian communist, in the mode of Rosa Luxemburg, Anton Pannekoek, Otto Ruhl, Sylvia Pankhurst, the Surrealists, the Situationists, .EP Thompson,... The people whom Stalin threw in gulags if not killed.

I got a bunch of my information straight from Menachem Begin, who provided his personal accounts of 1948, when he was the commander of the Irgun Tsvahi Lehumi militia, in his book Ha-Mered (The Rebellion), 1953, which my brother got as a birthday gift in the mid '50s. Begin bragged about the ethnic cleansing the Irgun carried out, especially that of the large port of Jaffa (pronounced Yaffa). I grew up a few blocks from the ruins of that city, still in total ruins in the mid -late '50s. Years later, i saw the same scenes in The South Bronx. The most damning accounts of the Zionist genocide have always been provided by.... the Zionists themselves.
