My father in law, long dead, worked at the Love Canal. He also worked on the Manhattan project. In his retirement he owned companies that recovered oil. Chemical engineer.

John, what exactly was he involved in at Love Canal? The dumping, or the evacuation? Only two things happened there. There was no remediation.

I don't know anything about it. I learned all this after he died, I hadn't talked to him about it. I expect I know less about it than you do. Sorry to disappoint. He worked there as a chemical engineer.

I grew up less than 20 miles from Love Canal in Niagara County, Class of ‘74 and heard next to nothing about Love Canal growing up. Driving into the city of Niagara Falls one can still smell a chemical smell about the place.

This sounds fascinating, as i was born@ Millard Fillmore hospital in Buffalo 9/22/66 and was diagnosed with a golf ball sized malignant tumor, cant remember the medical term, need to recover the release documents in garage, in ‘74. Can’t wait to listen
