I'm finally done with the show. Great job, Iva! I hope she had a good time and goes on to do great things! I can't wait for the next two installments. Shame on you, Eric. You know I have zero patience for things like stories, Gemini as I am.

Thank you both for sharing. Betty seems like she was an extremely unique person. Our human race has had some serious sexual hang-ups for entirely too long, and bless her for telling everyone so! As a conservative, it's crazy to realize I've always been more liberal about sex than my peers...who call themselves liberals! The one's who are into feminism nowdays are just man hating, placard wavers and I've never seen the point in hating a group, no matter how you divvy them up. Nor do I see the utility in slogans on a sign...which of course, earns me the title conservative. ;-)

Oh! I finally found out how to get all the asteroids plotted in my chart. Wow. I thought it was interesting before, but goodness me oh my. I reallllly need to purchase a reading. It'd be a great 50th birthday prezie to myself. And it must be done before my Chiron return! Must. So...I'll send you an email about it or maybe give you a call and see if you have a slot available. I can't imagine getting a reading from anyone else now that I'm familiar with your work.

I've not had the time to study astrology much lately and it truly seems like a "use it or loose it" type of skill. I can't seem to remember the houses and always have to look them up. And I wasn't even aware astrologers were using all the asteroids and such until I found you. I'm going to have to get a reading list and add even more books to my study stack! I will eventually find the time to get back to learning and when I do, I'd prefer to have all the information available.

Again, thanks for another great show!

Well, I haven’t gotten to the interview with Iva yet, but I listened with immense interest to the analysis of Betty Dodson’s chart. So fascinating! It inspires me to delve into my own chart and it makes me curious about what revelations are in the charts of other people I know. I also appreciated hearing Betty Dodson’s 1974 article from Ms.Magazine. It stirred up a lot for me!

Here is a funny and revealing story from my own life. I never got the chance to discover masturbation on my own as a child. Instead, my mother sat my brother, sister and I down one summer day when we were about 7 or 8 years old and had the masturbation talk with us. (I wonder if or when I would have found it on my own otherwise?!?)

When my mother was a child, she was told she would go blind if she masturbated! Apparently my grandmother caught her in the act and that was her way of scaring my mother out of ever touching herself again! And apparently it worked. My mother was terrified that she would go blind. How terrible!

Once my mom became an adult however, she finally realized masturbation does not cause blindness. So when she had her own children, she wanted them to know that masturbation is normal and healthy. Of course the masturbation talk left us all feeling a bit squeamish and uncomfortable especially after my mother compared masturbation to eating an ice cream cone! “Ugh, mom!” But secretly and to my delight, it led me to my own glorious self exploration. I was amazed my body could do such a miraculous thing! I think I went a little overboard with it for awhile. 😂

The "Pandemic" is over, long live the "Pandemic," as the WHO is charging on with weaponizing "contagion" against the world: https://www.who.int/news/item/26-04-2023-who-launches-new-initiative-to-improve-pandemic-preparedness.

The 1974 article by Betty Dotson was quite special. Quite a year it was, personally and in the world at large. I had no idea of the 1712 text which set forth the anti-masturbation agenda, clearly part of repressing female sexuality and deforming male sexuality as well. I will say there are a couple of differences i have. I won't mention my agreements because that would take an article even longer than hers. :-)

She reduced stimulation during vaginal intercourse to what happens to the clitoris. Was she not aware of the G-spot, or just didn't think it was significant?

She equated masturbation and partner sex are different sides of the same thing. I think masturbation is extremely important for everyone to practice, even people in relationships, but having an interaction with another human being and losing yourself in it (meaning ii'm considering only satisfying interactions) is expansionary of consciousness in a totally different way, just like playing music with someone besides yourself or tools you manipulate like a metronome, a loop generator,...

And she asserted that masturbation leads to more satisfying partner sex. This is only true if one has a partner or has regular occasion to have at least a casual partner. If you're not used to dealing with another human being, you can easily come to see it as not worth the effort, if you can get off by yourself. In addition, it's nice to have the *choice*. Does not sound like she ever lacked for such a choice for long periods of time. After almost 32 years, i can say that having recourse ONLY to yourself can easily get tiresome, one needs to make more of an effort if that's all there is and all there's likely to be coming down the turnpike.
