Great discussion on AI. Another aspect that people seem largely unaware of is this push to give robot rights. We saw where corporate rights have led us, do we really want to grant them rights?
I wonder how many people have tried out Deepseek in the last few days, given the amount of publicity it has received. How much data did it obtain? Maybe even people who haven't tried AI before?
Hopefully it wasn't small investors impacted by the losses on the stock exchange.
No, me neither. The whole thing feels like another part of their game though. If the US oligarchs were really against it, would it be available in the app store at all?
All this tech stuff is a trojan horse, for unaccountable dictatorship, adminstered by unaccountable, unreasoning machines, that may or may not have rights of their own.
James Corbett on NWNW did a segment about Bing AI threatening a user, which I found interesting in the context of them actually having 'rights'.
We want to know from Mr Corbett why he is perpetuating the hoax of MN980947, the file name for the nonexistent "SARS-CoV-2." He openly and notoriously refuses to address this matter — and the whole digital ID scam centers around AI "testing" and AI "viruses."
Are you this argumenative with everyone or is it just me? And what have I done to offend you, because I haven’t a clue. But your constant rudeness is bizarre and inexplicable.
This has nothing to do with you, and I am not being argumentative. However, you seem to have cited James Corbett as a source, and I am asking if you're aware of the problems with his reliability and seeming agenda-driven mentality.
There a few around with reliability issues, but since you have a problem with Corbett, though I note he actually shares some valuable information, what is you position on rights for robots. (If you have an issue with my source, there are plenty of others if you want to do a quick search).
Re the funding freeze - the likes of Musk Ellison Et al tell us AI is wonderful then tell us AI glitches cut of funding for essentials for millions of people??? Hummm.
I guess if you’re a billionaire, you have no concept of what it is like to be hungry.
The cutting of SNAP funding comes out of Illinois, via Gov. J.B. Pritzker who directly contradicts what the White House said. ALL federal funds were blocked. Medicaid was blocked. Head Start was blocked, as were programs like Meals on Wheels, unemployment and HEAP, all blocked.
And while he does not refer specifically to SNAP by name, Pritzker specifically talks about grocery money being blocked. The issue was blamed on a coincidental federal website outage, and then the White House walked back the total blockage assertion from the previous night — claiming that funds for individuals would not be held up.
But in fact they were. As of now the whole funding cut concept, a facet of Project 2025, has been stayed by a federal judge, so funds for all programs should be available at this time.
The lack of detail in the funding freeze has left state and local agencies at a loss. Also, I began with Larry Ellison. The segment was about AI and disembodiment; SNAP was raised as an example of the problem.
The Christopher McGregor tribute is WONDERFUL. "A fond farewell to a friend."
And great to hear from Christine Massey.
Agree the Chris McGregor was funny and poignant - loved it.

well, I did not download it. Most people seem to not understand that it's a trojan horse.

Because nobody knows WTF is going on and we are told that ALL federal grants were cut.
