Technology is ALWAYS a DOUBLE EDGED SWORD. When one sees a new technology, one should be asking, how can this technology be used against us? One thing is guaranteed and that is that the technology is continually dumbing down the human race. That is just one answer of the detriments of technology, there are many more. The word Detriment=causing damage to your MIND. The word DETRIMENT goes hand in hand with the word TECHNOLOGY.
I agree wholeheartedly. Keep the two year old in your being alive and keep asking the questions.
Imo and for the most part, they've used technology against us. They present the shiny new object, persuade us that it will help, make life more enjoyable, convenient, you-name-it ........... and then BAM! Counting on its bad, damaging, killing effects, they use it against us.
Most writers for the legacy media claim to follow some form of a code of ethics. Look at any NYT writer's bio. However, a Times writer is prohibited from accepting so little as a cup of coffee during an interview and they are very officious about this. But they are allowed to be the vehicle through which a story is spiked into the newspaper and that is OK. So for most, the code of ethics is a fig leaf and a signal of virtue. Last time I checked, the Fair Play doctrine was watered down by Washington Post and I could not find a similar doctrine for the Times — but it's been a while. However, such would be inconvenient.
