Astrology Pop Up, I love it!

I feel like I have an interesting relationship with Mercury Retrograde because my sun and moon are both ruled by mercury, and I was born with Mercury in Retrograde. For instance, often I feel like I can communicate better with Mercury Retrograde! Of course, this may just be my perception! But I do feel well equipped to ride the retro-tide because of my mutable mercurial nature.

I have noticed that some MR’s affect me more than others though. Some I barely notice and others I am laughing all the way through because I can’t believe how many things are going awry. What can you do other than have a sense of humor through it? Mercury as trickster, yes. I have a friend from years ago who passed on to me something called the “Mercury Words of Power”. When I remember to pull them out and use them, it seems to positively impact this sojourn. But again, perception!

I eagerly clicked through to the 2014 article you referenced. Thanks for sharing this! It is full of gold nuggets! The article mentioned the planet Mercury being an iron magnet. Magnets affect electricity and we are electrical beings. So a giant flying magnet could pull our brain/nervous system around like taffy. Very interesting! It helps me understand what might be happening to us and other electrical things during Mercury’s passage between earth and the sun. That half the problem “caused” by Mercury Retrograde could be perceptual sounds spot on in light of this.

I was also fascinated to read that the old astrology books describe Mercury as neither male nor female and your suggestion that Mercury is having an increasing influence on gender roles and relationships. I wonder why Mercury is influencing this realm more??? Mercury as an environmental toxin, of course, makes me think of the thimerosal in vaccines that have been speculated to cause autism -a neurological condition. It is interesting to note that there are statistically more people who identify as genderqueer or nonbinary on the autism spectrum than in the general population. I have many friends on the spectrum and this is definitely true in this circle. I am fascinated by this.

So yes, thank you for the article from 2014! I have to appreciate Nina Gabriel’s amazing artwork too!

Now I will go make a list of what I don’t know…and what I do know and how I know it! Yes, I am in the process of potentially making a commitment to a new job.
