Students save the otherwise useless university
The whole concept of a university has been rendered irrelevant by digital conditions and outrageous student debt. Students themselves are the only ones offering a useful purpose.
Go To New Program
Dear Friend and Listener:
Tonight we will hear mostly from students, at two State University of New York campuses: in New Paltz, and Purchase, two upstate colleges that were the scene of mass arrests at peaceful protests supporting peace in Gaza, divestment from Israel and transparency around investments.
First, we will hear from leaders of Raise The Consciousness, the group that organized the protests at SUNY Purchase, a small, artsy state college campus in Westchester.
Then we’ll hear from Lilly Sabella, features editor at The Oracle student newspaper at SUNY New Paltz, who can’t stay away from the news (that’s the spirit!). Here is her coverage of last Thursday’s arrests.
Tantra Studio’s series for Masturbation Month continues on the theme of, what’s the big secret? What if everyone knew?
With love,

I'm a librarian. The entire concept of a university was originally only of a library....no teachers no classes. You gained access to the library and read.you followed your interests and became self taught. All that teacher etc stuff came way later..if you were lucky..someone who had already mastered the books that interested you would drop by to read some more..and you struck up a conversation.
THIS is what we need to go back to....the internet is gone, and we need to return to the entire idea of colleges and univefsities..and go back to what was.
Their endowments should go to the students they forced to take the jab....and the entire "credentialing" thing..di05lomas etc needs to be rethought. How about you take a test at the end of however many years you went to the library...and you have eithered mastered the books or you have written another which will be your credential..by adding to the sum total of human knowledge...
Great interview with Lilly Sabella. I really hope that everyone responsible for these attacks on the students are held fully responsible. The police are mightily confused if they think that an invitation from someone gives them the right to assault, kidnap, forcibly detain, harass and intimidate peaceful people.
Imagine if they behaved this way every time there's a dispute between a landlord and tenant. Tenant gets caught smoking in violation of rental agreement and so helicopters, dogs and riot police are called in to remove them for "trespassing". What a joke. And in this case it doesn't even sound like the students were in violation of any contract.
