On tonight's program, I size up the federal indictment of The Donald for fraud; Jeff Strahl takes us through the history of the Trilateral Commission; and sex ed from the Wall St. Journal.
Loved the "Sex" segment, aside from one writer's (the 4th) rather prudish views. Particularly liked your comments, Eric, about how our rendered-digital state of mind is key to why we're ruining sex, and how "consent" is different from (and way inferior) to "desire" in terms of indicating an interest in having sex.
No surprise, i loved hearing The Eep Hour. And Lazy River Road was a great choice. I saw the very first one played in public, 2/21/93 (Oakland Coliseum). Saw it my last Dead show, 6/4/95, not a good experience at all (the show). My favorites were 9/16/94 and, 8 days later, an acoustic version, at the Berkeley Community Theater. This was "Phil and Friends," the Dead minus the drummers, part of a much longer benefit show for the Berkeley school system's music program, one of whose graduates over the years was .... Phil Lesh.
Strange but interesting story. Days after Jerry's death, i tried playing "He's Gone." Could not get it together, so i just starting playing music, and before i knew it, i found myself figuring out Lazy River Road. right there. When i got Anthology II years later, i checked out the entry for LRR, and turned out i mostly got it right! It's not that easy.
Listened to the rest of my segment (runs from around 1:25:00 to 3:22:00) I think i came off quite cogent and coherent, more so than i thought at the time.:-) Thanks for having me on. Funny, it's mind blowing to hear it all together, the incredible machinations, manipulations and deceptions we Americans (and the entire world's population) have been subjected to. And it continues. The Trilateral Commission now even has members from China. Two are on the Asia Pacific Executive Committee and 5 others who are Asia Pacific Members (the Commission has 3 groups: North America, Asia Pacific and Europe) https://www.trilateral.org/about/members-fellows/
And a great choice of music to follow all that, "Ship of Fools." Indeed. A particularly excellent version (5/9/77) from a GREAT show, i consider the Buffalo show *better* than the Cornell show the day before, which is widely lauded as "the best Dead show ever." Excellent show, but i don't think it's even the best show of that month, which admittedly was a great month.

BTW, figured out about Buchenwald. You were basically right, but i had something right as well. US troops were the ones who occupied the camp in April 1945, as they did with Erfurt and most of the state of Thuringia. But that state had been slated to become part of the Soviet Occupation Zone, per the Feb 1945 Yalta Agreement (FDR, Churchill. Stalin), so in May-June '45 the US forces pulled back to the pre-determined division lines, and the camp (and Erfurt( became incorporated into what was to become East Germany.

By 2020, unfortunately, the large majority of Deadheads whom i knew turned into airheads, totally going along with Operation "Pandemic." In fact, after 9/11, a majority of of them went along with the official story.
